Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya

Kenya Revenue Authority

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) was established by an Act of Parliament, Chapter 469 of the laws of Kenya , which became effective on 1st July 1995 . The Authority is charged with the responsibility of collecting revenue on behalf of the Government of Kenya.

Capital Markets Authority

The Capital Markets Authority is an independent public agency established by an Act of Parliament, Cap 485 A under the Ministry of Finance. The Authority came into being on December 15, 1989 when the Act was passed and was inaugurated in March 1990.

The Insurance Regulatory Authority was established in 2007, formerly Department of Insurance, is a state corporation with a mandate to regulate, supervise and develop the insurance industry in Kenya.


State Law Office

The Office of the Attorney General draws its mandate from Article 156 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010), which vests on the Attorney General the responsibility of being the Principal Legal Adviser to the Government, to ensure that the rule of law is promoted, protected and upheld and defend the public interest.

National Council for Law Reporting

The National Council for Law Reporting also known as Kenya Law is the official publisher of the Kenya Law Reports and the Laws of Kenya established by the National Council for Law Reporting Act. It is a semi-autonomous state corporation under the Judiciary arm of government headed by a council of non-executive members chaired by the Chief Justice/President of the Supreme Court assisted by a secretariat managed by a Chief Executive/Editor.
